Description

The first time on CD for Normie’s first two albums. Released just four months apart, these albums (and the resultant singles & E.P.’s) would make 18 year old Rowe the biggest pop star in Australia. Ably backed by The Playboys, these two albums are remarkably consistent collections of pop / beat / soul and rock & roll - all delivered by one of our most charismatic and distinctive voices.

Features the hit singles ‘It Ain’t Necessarily So’ and ‘I (Who Have Nothing)’. Also includes the searing version of ‘Shakin’All Over’ that would later be coupled with ‘Que Sera, Sera’ (from Normie’s second album Normie Rowe Á Go-Go) and become the biggest Australian hit single of the 1960’s. 5 bonus tracks, including four rare live tracks and a Coke jingle!
